Look Into the Future with Autoship Systems Corporation at Nor-Shipping
Visit us at booth T-29b to discuss the future of advanced software for load planning and ship design. With multiple deliveries weekly of our Autoload® on-board stability system we hope to share with you some of the recent behind-the-scene stories. We would also like to take this opportunity to listen to your comments about any of our products, whether you are a designer using our software for initial design, using our Autoload system on board or in the office, or anything in-between. Our load planning systems are available for every vessel type and have been installed on some of the most technically advanced vessels in the world.

Olympic Zeus in Autoload
In 1980 Autoship Systems Corporation (ASC) began building a reputation for excellence in software development. From the very beginning ASC took the lead in development rather than adopt a wait and see attitude. ASC brought the first affordable PC based NURBS modeller to the market place. As others followed, ASC continued its development in providing features that are available only in the most advanced modellers. Much of the competition chose to licence third party modellers and add their own business logic on top. The advantage of having all source code in-house allowed ASC to diversify its product offering. For instance, our hydrostatic evaluation tools are also based on an accurate 3D digital model of the vessel and so all calculations are performed based on first-principal methods.
Industry leaders such as Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics (WWL) recognized the unique qualities of ASC and as a result were awarded a contract to develop a global planning system for their entire fleet (all offices and vessels). During the development phase, ASC gained valuable industry knowledge and experience by working with industry experts. This same process was repeated many times over with other industry leaders and so resulted in significant in-house expertise at ASC. Because of this, our Dealer and industry expert, Coastdesign Norway, forged a strong relationship with many of the leading companies in Norway including Rolls-Royce, Ulstein Group, Farstad Shipping, Bourbon Offshore, Solstad Shipping, Olympic Shipping, BW Offshore, Aker Solutions, StatoilHydro and many more.
This paved the way to a completely new and advanced tool for vessel operations. For branding purposes the name has remained Autoload, however this program stands in a class of its own. It has the simple, straightforward interface as desired by the industry leaders while inside it has the most advanced computational methods available in the software world.
Nor-Shipping 2009 is held in Oslo, Norway from June 9th – 14th. We look forward to seeing you there! |
