South American Shipyards Favour Autohydro®
Autoship Systems Corporation is pleased to announce that Astilleros y Maestranzas de la Armada of Valparaiso, Chile ("ASMAR") has purchased another Autohydro, making for a total of 4 Autohydro licenses owned by the shipbuilding company. These Autohydro installations, combined with ASMAR's other existing ASC software including Autoship® (hull design) and Autoplate® (plate expansion), give ASMAR a powerful CAD/CAM suite for their extensive vessel design and construction work.

ASMAR was formed in 1960 when the Chilean Navy Arsenals became ASMAR Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Company, an autonomous state-company aimed at satisfying the maintenance, repair, refit, conversion, upgrading and shipbuilding needs of the Chilean Navy and the national and international ship owning community. Today, ASMAR is organized into three shipyards located in Punta Arenas, Valparaiso and Talcahuano (the biggest in terms of facilities and capacity).
