Autohydro switching program attracts
DOS users of SHCP and GHS
Autoship Systems Corporation, producers of an integrated
suite of the naval architecture software programs with
over 1,400 installations world-wide, announces the 'Autohydro
switching program'. Within the naval architecture and
shipbuilding sector there are offices who have been for
many years running DOS-based hydrostatic programs such
as SHCP and GHS on slower processor computers. When an
office upgrades their computers to Pentiums running Windows
'95 or NT, these older style DOS programs become obsolescent
with these new 32 bit operating systems. SHCP and GHS
are fine programs, yet they have not been developed into
full fledge Windows programs (they may have a Windows
front) thus their users must face the decision to switch
to Autohydro which has been a Windows program since
1991 and now runs as a 32 bit application.
Autoship Systems is prepared to discuss with companies
a 'switching fee' to move to Autohydro-Pro Release
5. Release 5 is a 32 bit application making it run lightning
fast with the new Windows 32 bit operating systems.
The most recent offices to switch from GHS to Autohydro-Pro
5, has been the U.S. Military Sealift Command office
in Washington, along with the U.S. Coast Guard Marine
Safety Center to follow.
In 1997, the following clients made the switch from
GHS to Autohydro: Astilleros Rio Santiago, Argentina
and Keppel FELS, Singapore.
Bollinger Quick Repair, Harvey, LA. switched from SHCP
in 1997 to Autohydro-Pro. Their parent company
Bollinger Shipyards, Lockport LA runs 2 installations
of Autohydro-Pro.
