Autoship Systems Corporation (ASC) of Vancouver, Canada
is pleased to announce the release of Autoship
8.1, Autoplate 8.1 and Autostructure 1.1.
These new releases perpetuate ASC's leading role in CAD/CAM
software for marine vessel designers. Some of the key
features of our new software include:
Autoship 8.1 - For surface modeling,
faster control of vessel development through:
- dynamic display during editing
- a navigator that provides control and access to project
structure
- OpenGL Viewer for rendering and surface curvature display
- improved IGES export of surfaces to handle degenerate
points on surface edges
- curve generation by offset
- surface join
Autoplate 8.1 - For plate expansion, improved
ease of hull plate expansion through:
- many of the same new features as provided in Autoship
8.1
- new plate spanning feature whereby a plate is continued
across the centre-plane
- more information such as angle and height measurements
now exported with template and panel DXF output
Autostructure 1.1 - For internal structural
modeling better structure design through:
- better automatic update of extrusions when end conditions
are altered
- pillar creation dialogue
- assembly export of shell outline
- extrusion end fitting to shell or part
- European and Far Eastern language support for part and
assembly names
