Arsenal Do Alfeite Shipyard of Portugal
Installs the Autoship Works Package
Autoship Systems Corporation is pleased to announce
that the naval shipyard, Arsenal do Alfeite of Portugal,
has implemented Autoship Systems' naval architecture
design software at it's engineering offices.
Arsenal Do Alfeite is a naval shipyard devoted to repair
work of the Portuguese fleet and to the design and building
of small vessels. The software aquisition had to meet
several technical specifications for Hull Form Generation,
Hydrostatics + Stability, Structural Design, Integration
and Compatibility before procurement was granted. Specifications
were sent to all marine design software vendors, with
Autoship Systems winning the contract this past month.
The AutoSHIP WORKS Package includes Autoship
(hull design), Autohydro (intact and damage stability),
Autopower (resistance and power prediction),
Autobuild (internal structural design) and Autoplate
(shell expansion). Training on the system will take
place later this year at the customer's site.
The Autoship System is now installed at the following
Portuguese shipyards: Estalerios Navais De Viana Do
Castelo, Estalerios Navais Do Montego and Estalerios
Sao Jacinto, and Rinave.
