Q: Do I need AutoCAD® to run Autoship System programs? A: To use Autostructure®, our internal structural design program, the user is required to have AutoCAD 2000 or later installed on their workstation. All other programs in the Autoship suite do not need AutoCAD.

Q: Is the Autoship System worth the investment, or should I continue doing my drawings and calculations by hand, or use AutoCAD?

A: The Autoship System software has been developed specifically to automate and thus speed up the typical naval architecture design spiral. The purchase of the programs is an investment in the future success of your company. The ship builders and naval architecture offices that were 'early adopters' of our hull design, hydrostatics programs are now industry leaders because they were the firms that could take on more projects and finish them well ahead of their competition. By using the Autoship System our users indicate that they can speed up the completion of their project three to four times as fast as with previous traditional methods.

Q: What operating system do I need to run your programs?

A: Autoship Systems programs run under the Windows® XP Professional, (Sp 2 or later) and Windows® 2000 Sp4.

For optimum performance we recommend (excluding Autostructure) a fast CPU with 256 MB of RAM, 20 MB free disk space, 8 MB graphics card and a 1024 X 768 monitor.

Autostructure can work as a single seat installation or in a multi-user environment under the Windows 2000 or Windows XP Professional operating systems. The server components may be installed on Windows Server 2003 or either of the other supported operating systems. Each design workstation must have AutoCAD 2000 or later. Installations of up to 4 seats may use the supplied SQL Server™ version; larger systems should be equipped with the full SQL Server. Workstation minimum hardware requirements are: fast Pentium CPU with 256MB of RAM, 300MB free disk space, 8MB graphics card and at least 1024 X 768 screen resolution.

Q: Why should our company purchase your programs vs. from some of your competitors?
